Water regulator location

I recently purchased the parts to put together an all brass water regulator. The assembly is about two-three pounds in weight. I was going to attach it directly to the connector on the TT with the hose being on the backside of the water regulator. My concern is that the regulator might weigh a bit much and possibly damage the connector on the TT. Should I be concerned about this or is the TT connector capable of supporting more weight than the regulator and few feet of hose??

I believe that filters made for an Rv have a higher flow rate than a normal under sink filter. Because that's what "I Believe", I got a whole house system from here:

I put the regulator on the hose bib and then put the filter after the regulator. It always works for me.

I use 2 Omni under sink filters piped together… the first is a sediment filter and the second is a carbon block, or granule filter…

Water spigot->pressure regulator->hose->water filters->hose->90* angle coupling->trailer. In that order for me. HTH

Hydrant .... Every single time

Hanging a couple of pounds from the trailer hose connector is equivalent trading a small risk for a bigger one IMO…

I had a 'house style' water filter between my pressure regulator and the connector on the trailer. I also had a 90* brass fitting on the hose so that the hose was vertical just before the connection into the regulator. I didn't want all that weight pulling down on the trailer fitting, so I added a spacer at the bottom of the water filter case so that the bottom of the filter pushed against the trailer siding thereby supporting the whole arrangement. The net effect was that the weight didn't matter since all it did to the trailer connection was to tend to pull it outward which was not a problem. It worked very well (I've since sold that trailer). You may be able to make a custom bracket that clamps onto your fittings and provides support to the trailer wall about a foot or so below the trailer water inlet which would have the same effect.

I have a quick coupler then a 90 elbow and then the regulator. With the elbow I don't think it pulls on the TT conector.
