Wave 3 ( or 6) installations in Outfitter TCs

I know that several Outfitter TC owners have installed Wave 3 (or 6) heaters.

I'd like to hear from those Outfitter owners how they like their Wave heater installations, how they did it, what they'd do differently if they had it to do all over.

I'm aware of this thread by terryray. In that thread, he refers to wazoo and dadwolf2 having Wave installations.

I don't just want to hear from those two Outfitter owners. I'd like to hear from all other Outfitter owners as well who have installed Wave heaters.

My specifics are that I own an Outfitter and want to know how other Outfitter owners like their Wave heaters, how they installed them in their Outfitter TCs, and what they'd do differently if they could do it again.

.....like I said in the original post.....

I thought I was clear on what I was after.
You were, very clear. I am sorry my suggestions and experience, which is transferable to any Truck Camper, was not appreciated by you. Good luck on your journey.

I very much appreciate your information and experience.

Wow.....here's another version of my post. Maybe it will be clearer:

I'd like to hear from ANY Outfitter owners who have installed Wave 3 or 6 heaters in their TCs. I'd like to know how they like their Wave heater installations, how they did it, and what they'd do differently if they had it to do all over.

I own an Outfitter TC and am interesting in the specifics of installing a Wave heater in Outfitter TCs: location of the heater, routing of the gas lines, etc.

If you'd like to PM me regarding this, please do so, I would appreciate your information.

I have read everything posted on this forum regarding Wave heaters in TCs as well as online reviews, product information, etc. I am requesting information specific to the Wave heater installation in an Outfitter TC.

thanks!

If you are interested in responses only from two people, you might consider using the Private Messages function.

Not sure why you wish only to hear from Whazoo and Dadwolf2 and not be satisfied with their responses, alone. You are going to limit info just keeping responses to owners of Outfitter TCs. Maybe you might share what your specifics are.

I have a Wave 6, only because I have a much larger area to keep warm and typically stay in colder weather, full with water filled pipes and fixtures, than the majority here. A smaller camper, with pop-up, in weather below 21*F might want a Wave 6, if not, you will be cooked too much and use more propane.

If you are looking at saving your battery capacity and minimize propane use, the Wave 3 is the perfect choice.

But, your biggest issue for Wave heaters will be the amount of moisture they put out to combust the propane in the matt. You will see a lot of condensation in the Pop up portion of your camper and impact when you want to lower and store. If you are planning on staying long periods of time, a week or more, you might consider using dry heat. Like an electric heater and then you will have NO condensation.

The last factor is proximity. With the smaller galley floor space and area of a pop up, you will have conflict with the heat put out, off and up from the Wave heaters. I have that issue in the winter time when I choose not to put my slide out. I simply use an old aluminum sign up against the cabinet across from my Wave Heater to protect it from the heat put off by the heater. I have no problems from this and keeps my camper warm and safe.

Good luck with your plans.

I will try to do a better job of keeping this thread On Topic by deleting post other than the install related posts.
