Which TTs should I be looking for

These forums have been very helpful. So far, with everyone's help, I've been able to narrow down my search significantly.

So now my focus is on a small travel trailer. Here are some requirements:
-Lightweight
-Small enough to be stored in a standard garage
-Hard sides (for parks that require it)
-Toilet/shower (wet bath okay)
-Quality construction ( don't we all want quality?)

So next week I'm going to a huge RV lot. So far on my list, I have the Airstreams, Camplite, and Aliners.

What else might I like to look at?

Modern Day 8 ft Popup
GVWR 2336 lbs.
Hitch Weight 176 lbs.
UVW 1937 lbs.
CCC 399 lbs.

GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) – is the maximum permissible weight of the unit when fully loaded. It includes all weights, inclusive of all fluids, cargo, optional equipment and accessories. For safety and product performance do NOT exceed the GVWR.

Typical camping weekend would eat up the 399 lbs CCC.

1500lbs tow rating, and suitable for highway travel only. That compares to a standard sedan wagon.

The 8ft popup max or utility trailer, and 200lbs of tenting gear is all that you can do with the glorious Rav 4 CUV.

I'm talking about the pre-2012 models with a v6 and 3500 towing capacity

We did give trail manner a hard look, they were too rich for our budget.

They did look sweet though.

If you want a hard side, take a look at the Bullet line of Ultralights. I have a 2014 and am impressed by ZERO issues in our first year. Have seen nothing but positives on this forum on Bullets.

Our TrailManor 2417KD weighs about 3600 lbs fully stocked for a 1-week trip, with 46 gals. water, two propane tanks, two batteries, and all the food in the fridge. Should tow with your TV with no problem.

And, you can stand up in it, unless you are over 6' 3", which we are not.

thanks. Definitely looking into those.

Now assuming I would find storage and get a non PUP. What trailers would be best to tow behind a v6 RAV4? I'm looking at the camplites, and the salesman told me they are more durable. Are there other ultra lightweights out there in a similar category? (Under 2500)?

The Rav4 has a towing capacity of 1500 lbs.

One other thing to consider is you are about to spend a fair amount of money. The three most important things are floor plan, tow vehicle and cost; if they are not suitable, you probably will not be satisfied.

Storage is a factor for sure but I would decide what I thought I wanted and see if I could rent something similar. That is what we did and learned a lot quickly.

A-liner would be my first choice in a hard side PUP. Expensive and small but about the only hard side you will get in a garage.

You will either have to rent storage on a lot somewhere.. or go to a pop up... No hardside TT will fit in standard garage. end of story...

If you restrict to fitting in a standard garage it will be a tiny TT you can't stand up in if you want hard sides. Why is garage the deciding factor? If you want a full height TT with A/C,it will be at least 10 ft 7" high. Store it outside and cover it with a TT cover. The size, living space and comfort is far more important than storing it inside. Very few people can do that unless a custom high garage that is 11 ft high min and over 25 ft deep for a decent size TT.
