Tech-savvy folks probably already know about this, but I didn't until just now -- this is a National Weather Service map that shows current wind direction and gusts in specific locations. I am trying to choose the least-windy route -- we are leaving in a few minutes -- and this map has helped me to decide:

Maybe that's more accurate than their wind advisories. I think they're batting around .200 in that regard.. at least in So Cal.

Thank you! I've only seen the ones that show the isobars. This one is much easier to read.
