Figure that wouldn't kill my gas mileage to bad and would give me and additional vehicle besides the coach if my truck has to go to shop. We had bought a 2013 Subaru Outback, DW vehicle, great car but an automatic and would require a trailer. I like a manual tranny any way, more fun. Happy trails!Re: Leveling a class AWe of course have those little level things (bubble level) in the coach itself that I go by. My little coach doesn't have levelers so have to use the level blocks, need one more set. "Cat One" sits like a race car about three inches down in the nose. We just do the blocks to raise that and usually keeps me from sliding out of the bed at night. Love reading this thread. Happy trails.Re: A tachometer in a P-30Turbojimmy,I had room between the speedometer and AC controls to drill a 2" hole for a small Sun Tach. I also installed a small, like 1-1/2" vacuum gauge to the right of the AC controls. Was going to mount under them which would have looked a bit better but had issues on where my fuse box was located. Good luck with your project.Re: A tachometer in a P-30Ok last leg of trip we managed to get 10.2 mpg. Was very happy with that, I have been looking at the headers to fit. I am planning complete tuneup before next trip. Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, oil change, etc. Have a small exhaust leak but sealed it with Quik Steel Extreme, don't want to mess with that until I am ready for changing to headers. I looked at the spec plate again, looks like at just under 23' it is about 12,500 fully loaded. Next trip is a return to Kings Bay Georgia Naval Base, wife wants to tour the base, camp ground was nice.Re: A tachometer in a P-30Last fill up 9.5 mpg, put air in tires, may help some more. Tach and vacuum guages working great. Keeping tach between 1700-2000 rpm, seems to be working out. Get pasted by alot of vehicles but don't care, they pay for my gas I'll go faster, not in hurry to get anywhere. Keep you'll posted on next fill up.Re: A tachometer in a P-30Well keeping speed at 60 mph with cruise control and first true reading was 9.3 mpg. Got a couple things more to try but pretty happy right now.Re: Cruise control issue with 1993 Fleetwood FlairOk, cruise now works. Of course replaced two brake switches. The one that was suppose to control cruise controlled brakes and vise versa. Replaced both, to find and install delayed trip by four hours. Had to be done, NO BRAKE LIGHTS! Now 500 miles into trip and cruise still working. Keeping speed at 60 mph, 9.3 mpg.... Yeah!Re: Cruise control issue with 1993 Fleetwood FlairWell gang, have done all I can at this point to correct the issue. Have not had time to take it for a test drive as of yet. Fingers are crossed. We just finished repainting the top and bottom sections to cover where we removed stripes. Since it is twenty years old we did the rustoleum paint roller method. Actually quite pleased with the result. We have done bunches of work on the inside and getting ready for our second major road trip. Will let you'll know on the cruise control issue, long darn haul from SC to TX without it.Re: A tachometer in a P-30Ok, finally got the tach installed on the MH. Since I choose a small tach it fit between the heater control & speedometer. Also installed a small vacuum gauge to the right of heater control. And they both work... hurray!Re: Water storage tank low point drainThanks for all the help. FOUND it under the bed, behind the water pump and under the heat duct work. Found it wasn't as empty as I thought, about twenty gallons left. Thanks bunches.
