Your route is by far the most logical.Re: Coming out of Eugene OR to St. George UT ????????? enblethen wrote: How about OR 58 to US 97. Learned anything? Yep, I did. I learned I could save $10,000 on the new truck I bought in Idaho. Drove mine back home and had the smog test and paid my fees to DMV. It was well worth the hassle saving that kind of money.Re: An Omen of Early Autumn - Colorado? - UPDATE 09/03/18Already have had 30 degree temps here in Truckee which is at around 6000' in the Sierra. Going to work in the mornings feels like late September. Weird Summer, above normal temps and no measurable precipitation which is usually the norm here. Fall can't come soon enough, tourists will be gone and time to head out of state to hunt!Re: Snow tires?I run Studded snow tires in winter, regular mud and snows just don’t cut it in the Sierra.Re: These unreliable new diesel engines! Engine also surges when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot get it to do those issues when in shop so problem still exists. Back in shop because ambient temp shows a different temp than outside, example: it showed 32 degrees this morning when it was 50. HVAC does not work properly, can never get it to a comfortable temp, always too hot or too cold. Been in shop and they tell me all is good and while driving home and it’s 80 outside, ambient temp shows 30. I have owned Chevys since I was 16 and I’m 59 now, this is the last one after the customer service I have received. Never should have sold the rig in my signature, a 2016 LBZ. That was a great truck. Find a new dealer/shop. I don't have that luxury, I live 45 minutes from closest dealer. Having to leave the truck for several days at a time and coordinate rides home and back to dealer is not easy. I don't live in an urban jungle with multiple dealerships willing to work on my truck for warranty. Chevy doesn't pay them for diagnostic time, just repair time. Bad system in my opinion. Im sure all the major manufacturers have the same system but that doesn't make it right. Not a lot of incentive for the shop to spend a lot of time diagnosing, is there?
