I believe the Starcraft and Rockwood also have high wall units as well. We recently traded in our Arcadia and moved to the dark side. All high wall units have a hard walled toilet and shower assy. You are not giving up very much storage space compared to a smaller unit because most hw pups are 14 feet in length.Re: Buying first camper. Few simple questions...I believe the Passport is going to be away too much TT for your TV. Keep in mind you have other things to subtract from your capacity such as propane, batteries, weight of the hitch, fuel on board your TV, etc. We recently purchased a unit that had a dry weight of 4600. Our Jeep Cherokee had a tow rating of 7200 pounds. After our first trip out I bit the bullet and bought a pick up truck. I believe, as was stated, salesmen are more interested in the sale more than what is best for you. Not worth taking the chance at harming your family because you thought you were good to go. Good luck with your search.Re: I nearly killed the other camp sites kid Screwin' with..I've chuckled at a few of the stories and shook my head in amazement. Off topic from the original somewhat. Last week, ourselves, while camping in one of our provincial parks we had a lady come onto our site at 8:30 one evening and ask us to quiet down as she was putting her kids to bed. Now, we are a couple of 53 year olds who were sitting around the camp fire with another couple pushing 60. How much noise do geriatrics generally make? Whatever. We pretty much whispered for the rest of the evening. At 6:30 the following morning three little rug rats from the same site with the mother who asked us to be quiet were running up and down the road laughing, yelling and generally being 5 year old kids. When our friend approached her and made mention of being woken up by her kids she was very indignant to him. Again, whatever. However, at 2:00 that aft when she rounded up her precious little tribe for their afternoon naps both of us noticed we were getting low on battery power and had to start the generators. Again, whatever. They ended up leaving before dinner that day.Re: Diesel vs gas......................Let me first start off by saying I work for Chrysler in Canada so yes I am somewhat biased. Back in 2007 and 2008 Chrysler produced the Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Mercedes 3.0 liter turbo diesel as an option. This was to be sold in the USA only and not to be offered to the Canadian market. Sales in the US tanked. Americans were not interested in the diesel engine. Sales of the G/ Cherokees using the gas engine were strong. Chrysler had contracted with Benz to supply a vast quantity of these engines. In an attempt to use up the diesel engines Chrysler was committed to the vehicle was offered in Canada with the diesel option. I believe it was a $3700 option. Sales of the gas engine WK plummeted north of the boarder. The diesel Cherokee was the rage in Canada. At the time I was driving a Jeep Liberty with a 3.7 liter gas engine in it. This thing passed everything but a gas station. It towed our Coleman Cheyenne without any difficulty. There was very little difference between fuel economy whether towing or not. On a good tank of fuel we were very lucky to get 400 kilometers at a cost of about $60.00 to fill. We purchased a 2008 diesel Cherokee two summers ago. I filled the Cherokee up yesterday and reset the trip meter with 742 km on it. The cost of the fill up was $67.00. We no longer have the Cheyenne but have upgraded to a Fleetwood Arcadia. The gas engine was very quick to gear down and rev very high going up any sort of a hill or steep grade. The diesel does not even burp. I am very quick to recognize the added maintenance expense of operating the diesel. Oil changes are triple the cost but having said that the oil change interval is double so there is not really a big difference. For anyone who trades every couple of years stick with gas. You wont realize the savings. After about the third year the savings will start to add up very quickly. A two year old diesel WK is selling for as much now as the vehicle was worth new.
