What's behind the name? Screen name that is.

I have often wondered how some of the members came up with their screen name, some are obvious :C and others are totally :?. I know that since sooo many names are already taken we have to be creative to find one that is available.

I'll start with the story of Spott, OK, not really a story but as they say a picture is worth lots-O-words. I would have use a single "t" but that was already taken (and never used).

This is our dog Spot, he is now 11 years old, he likes to camp and he loves the water.

Wayward1 is short for wayward one a name I got as a child. Have two other brothers and I was always running the other way. The wayward one. Boondocker, biker, Truck Camper. I finally met my true "Salmon Partner" yes she always swims against the current of the masses like myself so I guess I should change the handle to wayward 2.

...well, long story short - when I was in the Naval Air Reserve back in the glorious 60's, I (my name's Ray) fooled around with Radar systems on aircraft and my buddies gave me the 'handle', "XRay".

...fast forward about 30 years when my wife and I began to explore mainland Mexico and Baja California on a regular basis...an old Naval buddy updated my 'handle' to "Mexray", in honor of the old and the new days!

...funny how things turn out...

Mine goes back to the 70's when CB radios became the rage. Our 8 year old suggested the name when I was trying to come up with a "handle" for my first CB.

I just took the first initial from all our names and added our last name to the end, Ernesto, Monica, Ariana, Dehlia & Julio PEREZ(EMADJPEREZ). Simple and easy to remember.

Frankly I was stuck. I wanted to use "Doc Brown", a favorite character from the Back to the Future movies. But it was taken. I toyed with a variation of that, but I didn't want to steal someone else's user name.
