Avoid drive thru Salt Lake City

Just curious if there is any way one can get from Northern Utah to Southern Utah without going through Salt Lake City or traveling on mountainous roads. We are a 40' Class A towing wanting to avoid the traffic, construction, and congestion that always seems to prevail on I-15. Thanks for any input!

Then obviously you haven't driven on I-95 from Northern VA around DC and past Baltimore.

For me SLC is the worst urban drive there is. 85 miles top to bottom. At least the road surfaces are a bit better these days, especially in the Ogden and Provo areas. Lots of discourteous drivers who refuse to let you change lanes, everyone competing to drive as fast as possible. I'd rather be in Seattle's stop-and-go mess.

Been driving it for years, never found a quiet time, though the Sunday a.m. suggestion seems the best.

Hi. I lived in UT for 5 years towing w/class a and toad. Best bet is to get up early on a Sunday morning and get through SLC before 10AM if possible. I15 is still the easiest road for class a's to use. Be careful out there!
