I am looking for a recommended route between Toronto (Caledon) and Fundy National Park, NB, with the best campgrounds along the way.

Thanks, Gary

Cheapest gas past Montreal on the HWY 20 is in Drummondville. Its usually 5ยข litre less then Montreal.

I've done this trip 4 times. Only once with a MH. All times I stayed in Canada.

That being said, when I return, I'll go state-side as long as I can. Once you hit the Ontario/Quebec border, the price of gas just keeps going up. If you stay on our side, just make sure you fill up before you get outside of Ontario because you don't want to get stuck paying Montreal prices if you're running on empty. Eek.

There is some really nice scenery once you hit the hills in NB, though.

What route do you take on the U.S. side? The one we looked at seemed significantly farther. Factoring that in withe the exchange rate might balance out the more expensive gas. Also, are the gas stations easily accessible with a 30 ft trailer?
Thanks.

Ted & Ruth, lots of gas, none of it cheap. Another reason I try to stay on the US side.

Gary & Maureen, my apologies, I missed your question. If I stay the night along the way it's almost always in a large turnout on Route 2 near Gorham, NH since it's just a nights sleep. If I get there early enough I try to make it for dinner at the Town & Country Inn just south of Berlin. Outstanding food.

Resurrecting an old post.....how available is gas in Quebec and New Brunswick, towing. a 30 foot trailer. Usually travel in the US and depend on The Next Exit but decided we should take another trip to Canada's East coast.

I've done that general trip too many times to count and in a wide variety of vehicles.

For my money the preferred route is to cross the border at 1,000 Islands (Gananoque) into NY State and then east on a variety of routes depending on how fast you need to travel, or how much scenery you would like.

We have a Canadian Route and an American route. The Canadian route follows 401 to 20 at the Quebec border and then takes the new Montreal by pass ( 30) which will let you back on to 20 west at the south shore of Montreal.
Follow 20 to Riviere du loup and then take 185, route to New Brunswick. Follow route to new Brunswick and follow NB 2 divided highway till you pass by Fredericton and look for Highway 10 to Route 1 east to route 114 to Fundy National Park.
Campgrounds:
KOA Quebec City is usually our first overnight and you can make it to Fundy the next day.
Other overnights:: Yogi Bear near Woodstock.
If you want more specific information send me a PM and I will give you what info I have.
New Brunswick was my home before moving west to Montreal and then to Waterloo Region.

I'd luv information on routes. We're going Toronto to East Coast, possibly Cabot Trail or Fundy. Any information on campgrounds, scenic routes would be amazing. We're going on motorcycle and want to camp
