Just as an FYI the old KOA campground in Creel, now the Villa Mexicana quoted us 200 pesos per night to camp, including good 30 amp electric. Didn't try the w/s. Chose a cabin instead for 850 per night as it was 52 and misting when we pulled in. I Internet and food is still good, including a Sunday buffet.

Well, so much for the cheese, being originally from Wisconsin. We are already on the road as we have reservations at the OverlanderOasis in Oaxaca for American Thanksgiving hosted by the Canadian couple at their place in Mexico.

If your Spanish is accomplished you might want to stop off at Cd Cuauhtemóc and see if you can rustle up some specialty Mennonite cheeses. They make more than simple Queso Chihuahua. They also grow small but good John A Gold and red apples. During autumn raw apple juice can sometimes be found.

I´m surprised at the price. Wow, we haven´t been there since 2007. We did stay there one night. Maybe worth it for the electric. I´m glad to see they are still in business. We enjoy Chihuahua. Creel and that area are fantastic not to mention the train.
