Taking our first trip with our new TH. We are 13.5' high. We leave from the shore, exit 117 on the GSP. Any suggestions beyond that?

I do have a garmin with our height inputed also.

We will be headed to Cambridge NY for Columbus weekend via I-90 from Ohio in our Cedar Creek...13' high. We were advised by campground to NOT use route 372 as there is low underpass. I wondered about I-90 to I-87 then Route 7 out of Troy but previous poster mentioned that 7 out of trou not good road...we would pick up Route 22 N in Hoosick. Our other option would be to stay on I-90 to 22 N....any thoughts on Route from Ohio? We are new to 5er towing...

The road out of Albany up through Troy is a rough one, at least it was last August - if you're thinking of Route 7 towards Bennington. It was stop and go and all uphill, from the east side of the Hudson all the way up through Troy, for about 4 miles. Bumpy, narrow and a royal PITB with a lot of traffic. Once you're out of Troy, US 7 through the hills towards Bennington is not too bad, but we had a (stupid) breakdown in Hoosick that was all my fault, and that kinda killed our Vermont run for the time being.

If you are traveling GSP to NY State Thruway up to Saratoga and then over to VT you should be smooth sailing. You could also go NYST to Mass Pike to exit 2... up route 7- nice ride that way as well...

Wave on the way by! (exit 168)
