Just finishing our first camping trip of 2014. Still a little cool at night (2.5 c). Only Ford F150s in the campground - still to cold for Chevys & Dodges I guess. ๐Ÿ˜‰

For around Halifax most places may be full for the long weekend. I know that for Porter's Lake Provincial Park only has un-serviced spots available. I would definitely make reservations.

Like it Sue, like it very much! I suspect you were not trying to list the full Ford V8 lineup, as with Flatheads, that could go on for awhile.

But two of my favorites were the 390 in a Stang, and I still kick myself for selling my 69 Cougar XR7 Convertible with functional head scoop feeding a 428CJ. That pup would just get up and scream, well roar, and it was a pretty heavy car!!!

And I resemble the Honda comment as we tow our CRV!!!

Keep the sun out, snow gone (or in the hills) - and ship the skeeters on an extended vacation to the Everglades!!!

Best to all,
Smitty

In Yukon, the sun is brilliant today. Snow is gone. Greenery is spouting everywhere. First mosquitoes are showing up.

And each day's light runs into the next day now!

P.S. I'm very glad my dad raised a Ford kid and let his daughter play mechanic with him. Had been chasing a fella for a few weeks without success, then the talk rolled around to Fords. When he realized I could speak 289, 302, 351, 460, he was more keen. Then when he found I could debate 351W vs 351C, he was caught. Been married 24 years now. He tolerates my Honda Fit, but our other vehicles are all Fords... :B

Between Calgary and Edmonton we sit, in Red Deer. Being a non metrics sort of guy, I'll share we are sitting in about 3-4" of light powder. Expect this afternoons light showers should wash most of this away. It's 29F where we are, just off 2.

Now be careful to not start a Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge rant here... I see a mix of all three around us with those that either carry their living quarters on their backs, or yank it behind them as they drive down the road.

I do happen to have an Ford Truck at home, and have lots of fun with a Chevy BIL and Dodge Nephew taking pokes at each other...

Keeping in mind I drive the Ford, I did immediately think back to the Super Bowl commercial two years ago (Yeah, it's a ball with points on the ends, and you don't hit it with a stick. Though sometimes you play on ice, or so it seems.), where the Los Angeles area was shown after a disaster, and a Chevy Truck had to pull out the broken down Ford. (It was a classic, but due to pressure, GM pulled the add and it only showed a few times.)

What made me chuckle about the F150's being around you in the campground, was I suspect a Chevy Guy might say: "Yep, that's where we towed them all to when they broke down!"

Remember I caution about starting a thread where we bang on each other about trucks. And that I do drive a Ford Truck - but sure could not help laughing at that classic commercial... I thought it was great marketing by GM!

Best to all,
Smitty

First weekends are really fun.:C

For us, we're changing seasons. Got back from South Carolina five weeks ago, bought a new TT and we're heading to the NY Adirondacks next Saturday. Looking forward to christening in the new unit. ๐Ÿ™‚

It sure is cold it seems for this time of year. 9:30 in the morning and still 3C or 37F. Hubby is out working on the TT for our first weekend on the 16th. Let's hope that we don't get the snow that Calgary got yesterday.

The "Chevys" stayed out all winter. They are just getting prettied up for the new season.
