Anyone else having problems connecting to the forum from a Mexican IP. I can connect using a VPN, but not directly from Mazatlán.

We had problems for days. Times out every time. Connecting through Trailerlife.cam worked fine. For those that may not know, it uses the same username and password and the same settings.

clarlk; I do not think we all stare at the screen all day, there is a certain comfort level knowing at the touch of a button a person may get help from not necessarily perfect strangers here at RV.Net

When something works well we become somewhat dependant on that practicality and therefore may become concerned when it is no longer available.

So now I'm in Texas and right on the border. I'm trying to post in Beginning Rving and it keeps kicking me out. Let's see if this goes through.

I´m in Hermosillo Sonora 160 miles south of Nogales Arizona and for years have logged into RV NET and never a problem, I do check it almost daily to see what is going on and no problem at all....

I was in contact with the webmaster via email for several days. Could be since much of this happened on a weekend the main geek was not available. Who knows? They got it fixed eventually. As of 4pm on Tues Jan 26, 2016 all were up and running for us. We should thank them that we even have a forum. I doubt most of us on these forums would understand a technical explanation about what happened – I sure wouldn’t. In other forums people are talking about this (Technical Support) using words beyond my comprehension. Just be glad we have it at all and that it works most of the time.

Based on a post in another thread there is a web address where information about all of these websites can be found. Each and every one of these will take you to the same forum.

Obviously it was a server/host problem . Not being transparent about it says much about forum management.

I sent many emails about all of this to the webmaster and got replies from them. Watching these forums I have found that many web addresses will take anyone to the exact same website forum on rv.net. See at least a partial list below. All of these take us to the same MEXICO forum on rv.net.

Based on what I have read here this is not just a MEXICO problem as it seems people in other areas have experienced problems to. This has happened to far too many people to think it has to do with anyone’s computer.

As of about 4pm on Tues Jan 26, 2016 they all seem to up and running again. We can only hope it will last.

If you know of other websites that take you to the rv.net pages please let us know here.

Here is a list of the ones I know of so far for the MEXICO forum……….

Still in Canada this winter, have tried RV.Net two or three times in the past month and no connection. For us it seems like simply that the system there is down and we try again later and it's up for use.

Sounds like there are more problems elsewhere though.

I am now trying to post an article about the Todos Santos Music Festival and it wont let me do it. I keep getting a "Connection Timed Out" page. I go back one page and try again...Nada.

see if this works.

We have been trying to get on rv.net for days with no luck.

Got on the goodsamclub.com forum which is also the same but could not get on login page or to register.

Now the trailerlife tip gets us here.

I have been writing to the webmaster who says it is not them but must be our server.

We use both Telcel and Infinitum plus various WiFi locations with no luck.

The webmaster insists it is not them. They say it is Mexico.

Some people do seem to still be able to get on but others we are in contact with cannot.

Please go to the trailerlife forums if you cannot get on rv.net or goodsamclub forums - if you can read this - since many cannot even get on rv.net to even post they can't get on.

I have been writing to . . . webmasteratrv.net . . . (of course put the symbol for at in there) and maybe everyone else who can still read this on goodsam can also write to tell them it is not working.

Thanks for the tip on using trailerlife to get here.

We can get every other website we use and can order things on Amazon and do banking etc. Everything works but the Good Sam system - which includes rv.net and goodsamclub.com. Everything we can think of on the internet but this system works just fine.

This has been my experience for the last 8 days. Just now was able to connect after my third or fourth question via the Good Sam Club page.
