Gary went boom

Gary Haupt is a frequent poster to the Canada and Alaska forum section. He recently mentioned he was headed to Mexico for awhile. He had become concerned with the snow load on the building, where he had his Class C, RV stored. He removed his rig and a few days later, the building did collapse from the weight of the snow. Gary lives in Kitimat, BC just SW of Kitwanga Junction, over by the coast where it really knows how to snow.

So this past weekend he decided to shovel the snow off the roof of his home, and managed to fall off the roof, breaking his leg. So he will be doing the hippity hop pirate walk for some time with his cast.

Gary, is that guy your orthopedic surgeon?? I think we'd all be much better off with pictures of that nurse instead. 😉

My son owns a roofing company, and loves that type of device.

As for RV's, when Spring comes, you will have a chance to re-bed all those roof appurtenances that you've been wanting to do.

And Gary. . . I'm sorry that testosterone is such an ugly force.

I've been wondering where Gary was--kept checking the blog but nothing there.

Gary, I'm sure you'll still find a way to have adventures worth posting about! You've been my rv'ing inspiration for years. Take care and listen to that inner voice more carefully!

Hey! My voice isn't squeaky!

Example: Laying flooring in the basement, I say, it's 10p.m., let's stop, it's getting late. He says we're almost done, let's keep going. 10 minutes later, he grabbed a piece of flooring that looked like it was falling off the saw. Fed his hand into the chop saw blade. Almost lost his middle finger - 911, ambulance, ER, physical therapy, the whole bit. But if he had listened to me...


I dunno..I see your fingers typing, but can't see anything on the screen....

Why is it always a man thing????? Every place I go to, when the women outnumber the men, it becomes a man thing and I have to go outside and recruit some men to even things up. 🙂 🙂
