Doing some east bound route planning and GS diverts me off #2 at Saginaw to #33 to I 35 then picks up #2 EB over the Richard Bong bridge. Are there tolls thru Proctor on #2 ? If so, how $$$$. Driving a 32` C towing 4 down.

Thanks

Be aware there is bridge re-construction where part of hiway 33 turns east to I35 at this time.

US 2 to I35 then US 53 across the bay and out US 2 is the best route. Eliminates all downtown Superior and is well marked. We run US 2 from Mackinaw across to western Montana on our way to Alaska and back every two years. I 35 has had some construction, so a call to Min DOT might be in order to see what's new. It seems like that construction has been ongoing for years. No tolls on any of the routes or bridges.

Looking that these roads in detail on Google Maps, it looks like US2 is 2 lane, and partially city street through Proctor. #33 on the other hand is 4 lane divided - so despite longer distance it might faster.

194 and US53 is another possible route. Compared to those US2 looks like a minor way out of Duluth.

Looks like there's a toss up between the US2 bridge and I535 one. The northern one might flow faster.
