I need some class A advice on driving this big boy on Hwy 65 from Springfield Mo to Little Rock. Although I'm fulltiming with a TT, I've rented a 40' motorhome to take my grandkids on vacation. We're thinking about going to Branson on the way home. We've gotten good at driving it but want to make sure it's a good road for travel.
Thanks

There are a few steep grades with runaway truck ramps so be sure you know how to drive in the mountains. Some of the road is 4 lane and some is 2 lane. Just take your time and enjoy the scenery. Plan a couple of stops maybe at Walmart parking lots or truck stops. There is a small rest area right before you go into MO on the left at Harrison AR. If it's not crowded you could pull in there. There is also a Walmart Supercenter right before there on the right.

I have driven on 65 in a car...so can't speak to doing it in an RV.

However, I must say I never avoid a scenic route...I live for them!

We made this trip a few years back and I vowed never again. I never spent so much time going up and down and around on any stretch of road.
Any road marked `scenic' on the map is to be avoided.
