What is the best way thru Salt Lake City coming from the north in a MH, I 15 or 215 ?
Thanks

X2 on the Legacy. Only downside is to be careful where it merges back into I15 at the south end. If you're at the wrong time of day (normal rush hour stuff) it gets very backed up. Any other time it will be an easier drive.

We treat Salt Lake like any other big city we travel through, try to go through on a weekend, if it's a weekday we try to stay as close as we can the night before and travel through about 10:30 in the morning. Everyone is at work and it's before the lunch hour when they are out running errands. I 15 or 215 are about the same, we just stay on the main highway and go straight through. This has worked for us in the majority of big cities. Travel safe.

Traffic flow is not the problem. It flows only too well. The problem is trying to change lanes when other drivers seem determined not to let you. :W

OTOH, if you're used to driving in SoCal, it probably doesn't bother you at all. ๐Ÿ˜„

Both equally bad, IMHO. I prefer to bypass SLC altogether.

I prefer to take the Legacy to the 215W. The Legacy is a 55mph alternate that starts at Farmington and ends at North Salt Lake, and runs 'parallel' to the I15. The Legacy is a lot smoother road.

I live at the south end of the Legacy, and take it whenever I/we head north with or without the trailer (even if just going to the next exit).

The Legacy will dump you right on the north edge of the 215W, and the 215W ties back to the I15 at ~7200 South. I also recommend the 215 simply because there are less exits, so less other vehicles lane jumping around you to ruin your momentum.

We have been both ways. Most times we just stay on I15, but at high traffic times we have gone on 215. Anymore, I try to bypass it totally and go thru Jackpot. Macktee
