I-75 Southbound - Avoid Chattanooga?

wondering if it is a good idea to jump off I-75 and take Hwy 60 on the east side of Chattanooga? Any thoughts from the locals? On I-75 now in Tennessee for the night, heading to central Florida near I-75.

This. Same thing for Atlanta.

BUT.....all bets are OFF right now and pre-Xmas traffic may make ANY route you take a lot worse than normal.

I would be more concerned about Atlanta.
