I dont think they do reservations, plus you can park wherever you want. You can ride from there without issue.

Ok, thanks.
Anyone have a good link for reservations at the wild horse area? Found info for the place but no reservation page. Like to talk to someone out there and see if riding is doable straight out the park.

The NFS CG's up Lamoille Canyon are in a beautiful setting. Looks more like the Sierra's.

Maybe some of the stories on this page will give you some ideas of places to explore.

For ghost towns, check out this link.

For more ideas: link There are several maps on the various pages to click on and get more ideas.

There are hundreds, no wait, thousands of miles of dirt roads and tracks in the state.

Ok, thanks. Looks like a few days at wild horse, few in town or up in Lamoille Canyon will round out a nice trip. Possibly head to Ely and the Great Basin as well. Looks like some great riding out there.

If you stay at Wildhorse you can take the rzr to Jarbidge. The road will llikely be open as we have no snow to speak of this year and they plow it before the 4th of july.I think you will like the scenery.

I'll be headed in late June...on or about the 26th give or take a few days. I just read about some forest service campgrounds in nice areas that may suit. Will check out those two suggestions as well thanks! My boy can ride with the wife in the rzr (who is a pretty good rzr wrangler) and I can take a bike, so scenic destination is good.

Checked your crime stats! Surprised they were worse than where I'm at in SOCAL ! Guess I best be careful ๐Ÿ˜„

If you want to be in town then IronHorse is probably best bet. If you want to camp i would either go to Southfork resevoir or Wildhorse. From these two places you can take your rzr or bike, kayak right there. Safety is not really a concern around here though they have had more burglaries in town lately because of the boom here. Nothing to worry about. I live 20 mi out of town near the other personthat posted from here. What time of the year ?

Not necessarily, but might make wife more secure in new area, at least at first. She does like the slots.. We will be coming from boondocking in the Sierras for two weeks for a ride/camp trip with friends. We're pretty good at that, self contained 40ft diesel toyhauler motorhome with a rzr, street legal dirt bike, street bike, jeep and inflatable kayak. She's the fisherperson.

If there's any safe, secure, scenic and possibly rideable areas we appreciate suggestions!

Not legal like in Utah, but legal on any unpaved road in the state unless posted by city or county that you cant. Do you need to be in anRV park ?

Thanks for the tip!
I've got to keep a 5 yr old, wife, and myself entertained! I understand the iron horse park has a pool attached, so that should do for a couple days, and some mild hikes. We've got a rzr two seat atv as well, is that legal out of town out there, like in Utah?

Thanks, saw their site. Interested in scenic off road trails in the area for a street legal dirt bike and jeep. Looks like not too far from Ely and Great Basin..
