We've stayed at Parry's in the past; however, they do not have 50amp power. Considering Riverbend, right next to it. Do you know anything about Riverbend?

Oh great! I have no aboriginal status so I had to give up on Salmon Point. Now you're going to make a raid on Parksville as you take the trail north.
Heading to the forest to cut logs to fortify homestead.
Where are you staying in Parksville?
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

Found out ARTUM SNOWBIRD is leaving the Island the same time I'm getting there. I'm assuming he'll leave all the collected tribute for me under a rock near the camp.
That IS what you're gonna do, right?

Officially jumped the rez.
Invasion follows in 17 days.
Artum Snowbird has been collecting tribute for me from the locals for three years. Should be quite a pile of wampum by now.
AS: You HAVE been collecting tribute, have you not?

Ain't no fun when they give up without a fight. I've already claimed Salmon Point for the Sovereign Comanche Nation.

Left Artum Snowbird in charge. What's he done now?

GM - I was at Salmon Point and talked to the "Chief'es" in September.

She said she would give up without a fight and all that burning.

Some are thinking about massing a great wagon roundup and raiding you for selling all tho'es "AUTHENTIC INDIAN RELIC"S" - stamped Made In China.

Be aware !

bbt - somewhere on a rez on Van Island.

P.S. - I will send along a confirming smoke signal.
I'll NEVER be an "EXPERT" (In math.X is an unknown factor and a "SPURT" is just a drip - under pressure)

I'm missing something. Doesn't it seem logical to have whole-bodied rowers to also participate in the raid in addition to the regular raider? Power in numbers?

I don't think that they would be willing warriors, and would try to escape or resist if they had a chance. They were kept as slaves. It would be interesting to know how long they actually lived after being captured?

If you're in Grey Mountain (Navajo land), you have a bit of a trek before you get very far north. And if you're Comanche, you better slip outta there before dawn (and I don't mean 11 a.m.) because the Navajo don't take too kindly to outsiders drinkin' their Arbuckles.

The Haida also rowed down from Northern BC and attacked Whidbey Island in WA State to take revenge for one of their chiefs that was murdred.

From the US National Park Service:

"Isaac Ebey died suddenly and violently at age 39. In 1857 a party of Haida from Canada selected him to be a "chief for a chief," the man who would die in retribution for the murder by whites of one of their chiefs, or "tyee," the previous year. On a summer evening in August a group of Haida knocked on Isaac's door and drew him out of the house. Without warning they shot him, hacked off his head for a trophy, and dumped his body in the front yard. . . "

The Haida were tough guys.

So let me understand this.

* Capture people to use as paddlers only.

* They must have had a lot of sea canoes that need to be constantly
paddled.

* Amputate legs below knees.

* Captive is virtually useless to the tribe for any other labor
around the camp.

* Since the captive is a slave, seems like an unlikely scenario of
human resource management.

* On the other hand, the captives ain't running away from camp
anytime soon!

Wow! That would result in quite a savings on long pants and sneakers...
