Anyone travel from Laramie WY I-80 to Lake Grandby via hwy 230 to hwy 125 into Lake Grandby? Thinking about avoiding coming up from Denver.

It's "Grand Lake" or "Granby Reservoir"; there is no "Lake Grandby" in Colorado. If you want some camping ideas in the area, take a look at the "US 40" post on my new blog on Free RV Camping in Colorado HERE.

It's a very pleasant, easy drive. WY 230 coming out of Laramie becomes CO 127 when you cross the state line, and then CO 127 intersects with CO 125. CO 125 will take you into Walden and then on to Rand (don't blink) and up and over Willow Creek Pass (hardly noticeable by CO pass standards). Pleasant downhill from Willow Creek down to just outside of Granby. You briefly pick up US 40 east in to Granby, where you take US 34 to Lake Granby.

Piece of cake. Stop by at Arapaho NWR just south of Walden and say hi.
