Laramie WY to Casper WY

Planning my route to Glenrock WY for the eclipse. Don't want to take I-25 north out of Cheyenne. Can any one provide information on route north our of Laramie to Medicine Bow and then up to Casper? I am taking I-25 from Colorado Springs to Cheyenne. Driving a 40 ft DP with a Honda CR-V in tow.

On Hwy 34 Bosler to Wheatland, for the first 10 miles (approximately) on the Bosler end, the road surface was not very good the last time I was on it (about a month ago). Outside of that, the road is a good road on a scenic route through Sybille Canyon. There are quite a few curves and steep hills but I have driven it with both a 5th wheel and a truck camper with no problems. Traffic is normally light, but I don't know what it will be like close to eclipse time.

WY 34 is like most of the other WY state highways in SE Wyoming - decent road, rolling hills so ups and downs, curves. It's a cut off from I-25 over to I-80 so there can be some truck traffic on it, but not all that much, at least when I've driven it.

^^^^^ This. Pretty much the only (direct) way to Casper if you don't want to take I-25 from Cheyenne to Casper.

Thanks for the info... a friend just came back from Cody via I-25, said it was down to 1 lane in a number of places...with the traffic on eclipse weekend looking for a different route.
