Nashville Hot Chicken!

We are travelling through Nashville in a couple of weeks pulling our 25 foot travel trailer. Won't have time this trip for a full stop in Nashville, but husband would like to stop for lunch and get some authentic Nashville hot Chicken! Anyone know if any of the places have enough room to park with the trailer? Thanks

Get off I-40 at exit 205, on the west side of the city. This is a slightly confusing exit---if you are east bound, you exit at 51st Avenue. (This ramp is almost hidden under the exit 204 flyway.) If you are west bound, you exit at 46th Avenue. They are both marked exit 205. (Only in Nashville.) Proceed on 46th or 51st a short distance until you intersect Charlotte Pike (1st traffic light.) Park your RV in Richland Park, located in between 46th and 51st. Lots of space, just pick something out of the way. Pull up satellite view on Google maps and you can see where to park, towards the west end of Richland Park.

Walk a few short blocks west to 5209 Charlotte Pike, same side of the street as the park. Take your Tums.... because there you will find the ORIGINAL and only REAL Nashville Hot Chicken restaurant---Hattie B's.

I do recommend this venture in the daytime or early evening. That neighborhood is gentrifying but can be a little sketchy late at night.

When you return to I-40, you do so at 46th Avenue, regardless of if you are east-bound or west-bound. There are no entrance ramps to I-40 at 51st.

Beware---the chicken is just as hot going out as going in. 😄

I have not tried it, but KFC now has Nashville Hot Chicken. I would look at the route thru Nashville that you are taken, and do a Google Satellite search for one and see how the parking is. Also, there may be a big box store near by where you could walk from.
