New Gas Stations Are Opening

New and revamped stations that are appearing here in the northern part of Mexico. Change is coming.

I don't know much about Mexico. So...

What is the big deal about gas stations? What was bad about the old ones?

There is a new "service plaza" just south of Santa Ana. About 1 km. It is built in the median of the toll road. 2 or 3 restaurants, huge c-store. lots of accessible pumps. Paved lot with lots of parking. There are many spots where you can park a rig and stay overnight. Friendly people. Signage is not all Pemex but the pumps say Pemex.
