How is Oregon Hwy 58 between Eugene and Highway 97? We will be towing a 25' travel trailer.

Shouldn't be a significant impact but they are staring a paving project on Hwy 58 Highway 58 repaving work slated to begin Tuesday

Don't forget to check in on www.tripcheck.org as it's always got the latest info.

Stop by Salt Creek Falls near the summit. This 286' falls is beautiful all times of the year.
Regarding the road, enjoy the tunnel too!
As mentioned, the road is in fine shape as that is a common trucking route between Eugene and points east/southeast. It is kept open year-round.

It is a beautiful drive with many passing lanes. Semi's take it all the time so there are no problems and an easy drive.

Half ton Ram with the hemi. We will have empty tanks and not much of a load overall, as this is the last leg of our trip. We've had no problems towing with this setup, even on long grades. We just didn't know what the road was like.

what are towing with. what size engine. is your trailer loaded? all relevant.
i've done it with a small block gas engined half-ton pickup, pulling a 32' travel trailer. it went up fine. but returning a few months later. i bought a 1 ton diesel. i had more trailer than it was safe to tow.. as far as using the road, no problems. just didn't have the proper vehicle for the load.
