Hi all,
Trying to plan my route from Plymouth, NH to Claremont. Is Rt 118 a good road? It looks like taking 118 from 25 would be the most direct route but not sure it's suitable for a big rig. I have a 37' 5th wheel I'll be towing. Would appreciate your imput.

Ahhhh New Hampshire - lived there for many years.

Over the river and around the moose...

I went ahead and took 118 to 4 and it was fine. There were a few spots where the trees were a bit low and rubbed my roof but no damage was done. I'll likely be using this route again in July to get to Vermont. My alternate route was to take 93 South to 104 to 4.

Hmmm... no responses... Well, even though I live in the area I haven't driven this road for 25 years, so my recollection is WAY out of date and a kinda hazy. But I'd be pretty sure you'd be OK as you would be on any NH secondary road. Maybe a bit bumpy, as the roads almost all are. The alternative would be to hop on 93 South, go 40 miles to 89 North, and head west to Claremont by way of Newport.
