Would love your help and advice again, please!

We are on our first snowbird trip south with 32' fiver and would like to keep to 2 hours or so travel every 2 days. Found a CG in Roanoke Rapids, NC on the Rte 95 website RV Resort at Carolina Crossing. Have not made reservations yet. From there we are headed towards Charleston, SC.

Would appreciate any suggestions on CG and routes please. I guess 95 is the way to go from here south? In Charleston, SC we are looking near Johns Island at the state park but have not made reservations as we don't know exact dates yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

safe traveling everyone!

yes, eb145!

yes, we read about the 2-2-2 rule and love it!

Thanks so much for the small town interests - yes, we are taking our time and love the local interests. We have never traveled south and have so much to see!

Checkout Rocky Mount and see if there is anything that interests you there. From there you could head East and pickup US-17. Washington and Chocowhinty are small towns with Historic Districts. New Bern may have some things of interest to you. Wilmington has some historic sites and plantations, a nice historic district and the Battleship North Carolina. I have no idea how much damage US-17 incurred during the recent storms, but we have driven it many times over the years and have always enjoyed our stops along this route.
Safe travels!

Exit 181 in SC. can take RT. 38 into 501 to 544 Myrtle Beach, stay at Lakewood CG, Huntington State Park, Ocean Isles, etc. Then go down Rt. 17 towards Charleston
