Traveling to Disney

My family and I will be visiting Disney in a few weeks. So I was planning on taking 4 but I have heard that the traffic can be pretty bad. I will be coming from the North on 95. Any suggestions would be great. We will be hitting Orlando around 3:30 in the afternoon on Thursday the 10th of April.

The 4 in the Tampa area is much worse than around Disney. Stay in the slow lane and stay alert. You have as much right as anyone to drive on it so don't feel intimidated or bullied. It's really no worse than the 95. You'll be fine

You're going to have to deal with traffic in that area, especially at that time of day, no matter how you approach. Just be patient, use your best judgement, try to minimize land changes as much as possible, and most importantly watch out for the other drivers because they will NOT be watching out for you, at all, except to take advantage of a chance to change lanes suddenly. I lived in that area for 17 years and had to traverse I-4 as part of my 1 hour each way commute. You should be fine as long as your are patient and prepared for people to do stupid things.

Take I-95 South to Exit m 212 to FL 407 S Titusville area. Short trip to FL528 Toll Road. Toll Road to I-4 South (you will be south of Orlando. Follow signage to WDWorld. Costs a little bit and about 20 miles longer. Probably faster overall based on I-4 situation between Daytona and Orlando. Less stress, Less traffic.

That was the alternate route I was looking at. There is no way that I can make it through there by 1pm as we are starting our day in Southern N.C. after a 12 hour day the day prior. Thanks for the affirmation.

I 4 is a nightmare. Especially when they get a quick flash downpour. The road turns to "ice" and the wrecks are scary.
