Trip to RGV part 2 - driving routes

Continuing to plan trip south for February - and need feedback on my route.

Here are my planned routes, do you think these are doable? Any routes to avoid? I am attempting to bypass big cities as much as possible. Will not be towing, have to stay in hotels.

I will check as the time gets closer, but this is the first cross-country trip we've taken for some time.

Thank you, noted - does this really increase the time to 9 hrs 21 minutes like google thinks, or is the traffic around Dallas really that bad?

The first day is very long. If you have driven 600 miles before without any problems then you can do it IF the weather is good. The last day will be very easy.
