Need information about 261 north from Mexican Hat to the junction with 95.
Is it doable in a 38' MH with a toad?

NO, there's, not been any work to change the road. Yes it's something that can be done, but the fact remains that is NOT a route for, normal travelers with a 30+' Motorhome.
Enjoy your travels.

Yes we met several that were heading south, but only two on the gravel section. We were passed by a lady in a jeep heading north on the gravel section and she waved, probably for letting her pass. There are a few spots that are a little narrow, but most of it is 20 feet wide, two lane.

Left Mexican Hat early this morning. Speaking to some locals, I was advised that the switchbacks were too tight with the toad so DW lead the way.
Stopped at the Kane gulch ranger station and hooked up the toad, now ready to go on to Natural bridge. It took about an hour to do the 30 miles.

Thanks for the update!

the last time we were there, a couple years ago, we went up it and there is a BIG sign at the bottom of the cliff with big letters stating length and width limits.
I do not have a picture of the sign, but it definitely rules out your rig.
there is a rock overhang along the road that your rig can't get under and there won't be enough room for you to pull over to avoid it.

P.S. I found a picture of the latest sign:
it does not state length or width restrictions, but the State of Utah road info says this: "The State of Utah recommends that only vehicles less than 28 feet in length and 10,000 pounds in weight attempt to negotiate this steep (10% grade), narrow and winding road. Most vehicles can travel the route safely. Caution is advised for motor homes or vehicles pulling trailers."

It was built for what we may safely assume were LARGE uranium ore hauling trucks. I recall a warning sign at the beginning but it wasn't a restriction.

Do you have a website showing any restrictions. What constitutes a large vehicle.
