What's up with Rt. 301 in Delaware?

I am travelling to Del. in Sept. I had planned to go across Annapolis bridge into Maryland and want to go up 301 to Middletown, Del. and get on Rt. 71 & 896 north. I will be camping at Lums Pond, New Castle Co. Del. I heard that 301 was a toll road and have looked at Google maps overhead but it just shows dirt construction still. It doesn't look like there is an exit to get to the Middletown area and over to Rt. 71. Has anyone any new information about this area and how do I get to Rt 71 and over the Summit Bridge to Lum's Pond?

Sorry 896 does not work for me coming from Annapolis RT. 50 to 301 north.

Yes 301 is now a toll road but it is complete and opened, there are 2 exits for Middletown the 1st one is the lower end of 301 that will bring you out just above the travel plaza, the 2nd one ( which is best for where you want to go ) I believe is the one for 896 that brings you out a bit above the town. We are local so usually avoid the tolls (we are cheap as well )

Thanks for the info, I will have to see what the toll charge is and whether or not to get off at the first exit or not. The whole road is only 11.9 miles according to EZpass info I just got with my new EZpass tag for the vehicle, old one aged out. I'll go online and see if it's a bit pricey or not, but thanks for letting me know about the two exits, I did not see that on the Google overhead view.
