Canyonlands Willow Flat campground

We will be motorhoming it to the Wild West and specifically Canyonlands in early October. If check out is 10 am for these first come, first served campsites, how early do we need to get there to hover around to get a site? Options for boondocking outside of Canyonlands Islands in the sky area if we are not so lucky as there doesn't seem to be tons of them.

We are just 25 feet so hopefully we can fit somewhere or yes, Deadhorse is an option as well. Thank you! Donna

I have never seem a lot of campers in this campground. Don't know what size your motorhome is, but there are not a lot of sites you will be able to get into if it is over 30 feet. Consider making a reservation at Dead Horse Point State Park. They can accommodate larger RVs and are pretty close to the entrance of Islands In The Sky. The State Park has very dramatic scenery itself. Enjoy your trip.
