Another place that is "yummlicious"? Chatham's bistro on Main. Go for happy hour and the raw bar is half price.
DW is on a no carb diet, Me thinks that raw bar qualifies! We will try to check the place out on our upcoming Sept trip! :C

Thanks everyone for the suggestions; we were able to book the last available site at Atlantic Oaks. It is right by the trail at the rear of the park by a wooded area. The park seems to be centrally located, so it should be fine for exploring the cape.
Don't forget to stop at Arnold's next door and get a Lobster Roll! :C

If you feel like it and since you have a 4X4 you can get a beach driving permit. Air down the tires, put it in 4X4, and crawl to the beach. A 7-day permit is $50 as of last year.
Is there any particular beach that you are allowed to drive on with the permit?

Hello All,
Has anyone stayed at the Old Chattam Rd RV camp? Looks mostly seasonal, but we are fine with that (we used to be seasonal years ago) as we use it mostly just to sleep and eat. Has a pool for the kids and appears to be near the bike trail (Twin oaks sold out). I was the one who posted the other thread about spending a week on MV. We are still doing that, and were going to take the advice of folks saying not to head out on the cape to avoid traffic, but we have family in the Chattam area we figure we can visit as well. This seems like a nice location but not nearly as popular as others. Right now we are debating between Old Chattam Rd, CapeCod camp, and Shady knoll since Atlantic oaks is sold out. Thanks again all! These threads have been very helpful!
