Wekiwa state park is close and has one loop with full hookups.

Yeah, fill the trailer with money and spend a couple of days at FW.

Why not Ft. Wilderness? Its not that big of a drive and its January.

We stayed in Bill Frederick Park, an Orlando city park, which is just blocks from Universal Studios last winter. There are a few full hook-up sites and the rest are water and electric. It is not formal or fancy, but served our purpose of a place to stay in the motorhome close to the park.

Here is the link to the park information Bill Frederick Park

You could do a Google search for `Universal Studios campgrounds'. We stayed at the KOA in Davenport one year but there are many to choose from.

Stayed at Tropical Palms last year. Definitely not impressed. Felt it was over-priced and the front desk was very confused. When we checked in and told our site # (we had made reservations over a year in advance!) we were escorted to our site - only to find it occupied. The only other site available was one on a corner that wasn't really big enough for our 32' MH. This took over an hour to do! Only choice, so we took it. Found many on the staff to be unfriendly and simply 'going through the motions". Much in the CG was closed for the season - fair enough - but then reduce the cost for the site! Very confusing traffic patterns as well. We often found ourselves going wrong way on one-way roads that weren't marked as such. All in all, we won't go back there.

We stayed at Tropical Palms about 10 years ago and found it to be just fine.
