We have been to the Keys before but this is the first time that we have camped, yay in 2 weeks. How is the fishing from the beach or the bank? Is it worth it for us to take the surf fishing cart with us? Thanks in Advance!!

We always take our surf cart - we have a bracket for it that fits into the receiver on the back of the trailer, and it doubles as a good carrying place for our blue gray water tank and beach chairs.

The water right off the beach at Curry Hammock is pretty shallow and not ideal for fishing, but there are lots of old bridges nearby that have been converted to fishing piers, and the cart is handy for lugging the gear out onto the pier.

We also find it handy for dragging the beach gear to the beach - Sombrero Beach in Marathon is not too far away, is very nice, and permits dogs .... you can also fish off the rock piles there ....
