Even better, get DNS service and watch the ABC, CBS, etc., from either New York or LA (depending upon your billing address). Then you never have to switch and if you are really desperate for local fire/murder/traffic accident news you can use your antenna.

Direct TV broadcasts in SD and HD for the Phoenix locales. So the satellite antenna will not matter.
The spot beam map for Phoenix, shows you can get it all the way to San Diego.
The spot beam map shows significant reduction in signal strength for SD. I'll be in Oceanside just north of SD in two weeks and will see my full array dish picks up the Phoenix locals.

C-Bears, Directv policy seems to allow the two switches a year without a problem. More can be and issue with them. Dish is reported as easier on this. I just say I am at my winter location. Please switch service address. Billing is electronic and payment automagic, so that is not an issue.
