We are considering a short two week trip to the mountains. We've stayed at several places in NC and Georgia, but something caught our eye in Franklin…Cardinal Ridge Farm RV and B…yep you read that right…instead of B and B its and RV and B…very cool concept and outstanding reviews…have any of you out there ever visited this campground? Would love to hear stories about this place…I wanna go!!
Thanks, Andi

I highly recommend this school. Have lunch or dinner there if they have open seats. The food comes right off their farm! If you're getting into dutch ovening I think you'll like the blacksmith class for making your own campfire tools.

Sounds like a plan-thanks.

Don't forget to visit the Scottish museum in Franklin. John C Campbell Folk Art School is just to the west of Franklin and is a beautiful locale in a pastoral valley. See if you can visit their bread classes; their dance classes; needle arts and stained glass; woodworking & blacksmithing forge; fascinating school.

Now we got another reason to go. Wife wants to do glass classes. Not sure what I'll do. Maybe I'll learn a little blacksmithing.

I'm putting that one on our list to visit. I'm liking those views.

Less pricey than Cardinal Ridge but very nice places according to Woodalls and TripAdvisor:
http://www.franklinrvpark.com/ Wooded setting and very quiet.

Panoramic views from nearly every site at Great Outdoors RV Resort.
http://gorvresort.com/

Both of these avoid that parking lot feel like others in the area have.

Cardinal Ridge RV&B (clicky)

Very nice looking place. The last ten reviews on RV Park Reviews all received 10 out of 10.

If you want a FHU site, consider making your reservations way in advance as only have 6 FHUs.

Have not been there in years. However, my family is the founders of Franklin so I have to get back up there soon.

Place does sound interesting, I assume they prepare breakfast for all of the campers.

Please let us know if you go and give a review.

Have fun.
