Hello All!
I tried to figure this out myself, but hope someone can chime in...we have to be in the area for a wedding in July. So, we'll need electric (for AC) and our dogs will have to be left in the RV while we attend the function.
Easterlin County Park would be the most convenient (very convenient, actually) to where we want to be. But, it turns out they are closed for a month when we need to be there.
Markham County Park is pretty close, and is a county park (which we prefer given the option). Unfortunately, there is a shooting range there. One of my dogs has been shot and therefore doesn't appreciate that sound, and the other is simply sensitive to "scary" noises (to put it mildly). So this campground would not be a good fit for us (I checked the days the range is open, and they are open when we'd be there).
There are only five parks listed on rvparkreviews in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and none sound great (or even good, actually). One of them has a 20lb pet weight limit - we are well outside of that. We'll only be there for three nights, so we can handle whatever, but was trying to make the best of it! Our family/events are in the Tamarac/Davie/Fort Lauderdale-ish area, but Easterlin was a good fit because it was closest to the wedding (in Fort Lauderdale) which is the only time I know for certain I will need to leave the dogs behind.
Any suggestions??? We're in a small Class C, no slides, no toad.
Thanks!
