Don't be offended. I was just pointing out that the obvious plug for your favorite spot was not near Ft. Meyers.
IMHO If someone truly wants to be in the Ft. Meyers area they don't stay in Arcadia.

jeb5, please lighten up, and realize that your point of view is only one of perspective. (Someone told me that after one of my diatribes about the RGV.) Do offer help again; yours might be the one that makes a difference; and, don't be so fast to be offended.

For example, while you can be "at the flea market in 35 minutes," I can also be at that one, plus three others in the same amount of time, depending on the road taken, the time of day, and the traffic.

And, yes, depending on the traffic lights, I can get from MY favorite beach to SW Florida International in 45 minutes or less; but I have never had occasion to do that as we generally begin that journey from home. (Checked two different routes.)

If a snowbird does find himself (or herself) in a "slow-moving parking lot" it simply might mean that that person doesn't know the multiple alternate routes that can be taken to complete their particular journey that day.

Hey, we have "no traffic issues" in my hometown either, but then, they have only one traffic light. No traffic generally means "fewer people" and there is always a reason for "fewer people" isn't there?

It depends where you are going in Ft. Myers. I can be at the Flea Market in 35 minutes, airport in about 45 minutes. If you want to go to Ft. Myers Beach add 1 hour. Try to get from the beach to the airport in Ft. Myers in 45 minutes. It won't happen during the daylight hours. We have no traffic issues at Port Charlotte. Ft. Myers covers a wide area, most of which has a slow moving parking lot for roads.

I was just trying to be helpful. Will think twice before I offer to help again.

Somewhat offended by your comment.

No offense but that isn't even close to Ft. Myers.

46 miles- that's not far. Not from where I'm from... ๐Ÿ™‚
But it can be a 3 hour drive in Fla. in Feb. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry, but with more than 80 activities at Imperial Bonita Estates, I was already late for (wait for it.)
a meeting of their recreation board.

OK -- the list was all the way back on page 4. So here it is again to make it easier, however, I can't verify all the phone numbers.

Riverside RV Resort. North of Ft. Myers. They had 10 spots open in Feb. Only reason that have sites is because they added 140 new premium sites.

This is a great park. This will be our 13th year.

I do not own, receive any compensation for these remarks. See rvparkreviews for any park that you consider blind.

As you can see, there are a lot of campgrounds in Ft Myers (at a pretty wide range of rates) so you'll have to narrow it down by what you're looking for.

It is pretty busy in January but we've never really had any problems finding a place in early January. I think late January might be harder (I've seen places with 2 month minimum if you want to stay in Feb).
