Gettysburg PA to Bangor ME - Where to stay?

Planning our first trip to Bangor Maine with a 41 foot fifth wheel and was recommended a route of Rt 15 to I81 to 84 to 90 to 290 to 495 - 95. Looking at staying at the Pumpkin Patch RV park in Bangor.

Would prefer to break it up into about a 3 day drive but sure could use some recommendations for big-rig friendly parks on the way.

Mid-week reservations up here should be no problem with the kids back in school. Weekends will be busier but other than Columbus Day weekend in October it shouldn't be difficult to get a reservation.

Roadpilot: Mohegan Suns doesn't work for us given the lack of hookups but I really like that Normandy Farms suggestion. That's a must-stay on our trip.

Mydazeoff: Thank you for the directions / suggestions. I'm a bit hesitant given traffic and congestion I have heard about up there. This will be our first trip north of Pennsylvania and I'm nervous. Thanks for the routing information.

I'm going to start calling Wednesday for reservations. Would I be correct in assuming availability might be pretty good in September (after next weekend, of course)?

Still no easy-on fuel on those routes. If you're on the road soon there's construction in I-495 that may slow you down just before the Rt. 3 Exit. Friday we went through it slowly but without stopping, though...

This may not be ideal in terms of leg length, but you could stop at Mohegan Sun in Wilkes Barre and then Normandy Farms in Foxboro, Ma. You'll like Pumpkin Patch when you get to Bangor. When e stop at Mohegan Sun we first get a drink, then Sushi and then we go over to Ruth Chris's Steak House. Normandy Farms is good but could be filled.
