Heading to Rifle River State Recreation Area(Michigan)

On Sunday we're heading to Rifle River State Recreation Area(Michigan) till Wednesday. This is our favorite Michigan State Park. Its about 1 1/2 hr drive at the most for us. Plus one of the cheaper ones - only electric hook-up no full hook up. The beach area is nice, you can canoe, kayak, fish - no motor boats. Sites are good size - no big trees close to the road to maneuver around :). The only bad thing is there are 80 modern sites and it fills up pretty fast. I'll post some photos next week.

January 2012 camping at Rifle River.



Too bad you won't be there on a Friday for the fish fry at the little restaurant across the street (Sunrise Café). Only a few sites there that work for me due to size and wanting the satellite to work. Mother in law lives in Rose City so I have spent many nights at Rifle River.
