Saddly I live 90 minutes from Emerald Isle but have not been there for at least 10 years. I prefer to go Myrtle Beach. Anyway now that the rates have dropped I am considering a quick weekend down to Holiday. Couple of quesions: First, can I take my own golf cart and is the place big enough to use a cart and Second, what is good site for 33ft TT? Still would like the shade to be on awning side in afternoon.

Thanks.

We booked site 18 at Holiday Travel Park Emerald Isle for a short week in mid July. I have never been there before but am looking forward to it!

I didn't experience any unfriendly employees. There was someone at the gate every time we came through the two times we've stayed there. I would agree there's no security where they store them though. The beach is much less people friendly in the water due to the current, so we tend to go to Myrtle Beach Travel Park as it's much less expensive and the beach area is awesome. Still like EIHTP, but won't go often because of the $100 plus rate.

Their website indicates friendliness and security....in my experience this establishment has neither. We camped there for many years and the management is rude - the total opposite of friendly. As far as security, there just isn't any. Be very careful if you store your camper there - there are no gates, cameras or any type of security. We're heading to Myrtle Beach - love Emerald Isle but there is really no other place to camp on the island. I would rather give my money to people that are pleasant, nice and friendly.

I have always thought that they were way overpriced for what you get there.
I guess there is not much else right in "that" area, but just not worth it for me to stay there. The once that we stayed there, I do not remember there being much of a need for a cart.

Us too. We stayed in a corner spot in the red area (55)that has a tree or two on it. We thought it was the best one in the CG to be close to the beach with a bit of shade. Paying $100 plus a night blew my mind, so we have been going to MB Travel Park. Love their beach sites, didn't care for the cramped wooded site we were in.

Very few sites at HTP have what I consider good shade. Compare to Myrtle Beach parks I don't think a golf cart is needed and also I don't know HTP rules. HTP is a nice park but very expense even in the off season (We think).

By the way...I am sitting in a Myrtle Beach Campground typing this. Been here for over a week. Sadly we have to leave tomorrow morning.

Your reason are why we go to MB. Plus there is more things to do. Cheaper also.

Any of the shaded sites should work, let the people know your trailer size when you reserve so they can match your trailer to a site. Plenty of room for golf carts as they're literally running all over the place.
