Hollywood Casino and Campground in MS

Worth 6 hr drive if we are in North FL near I10 anyway? Would be a chance to play some slots and we have dogs so having campground right there hopefully a plus. That area hit very hard by Katrina and heard all rebuilt. I hate that drive up 85 through Atlanta home to Raleigh NC though. We come down 95. Thanks for any comments.

I guess I'm confused, as there are two Hollywood Casino RV Parks in Mississippi; Tunica (Robinsonville), and Bay St. Louis). The one in Tunica is nice, between a golf course and casino, and across the street from another casino. However, the one in Bay St. Louis is gorgeous, next to a parking area which services the casino. There is a golf course on site. The Bay St. Louis Hollywood is filled with trees, much more space for the RV's, walking, and maneuvering. I stay at both, but prefer Bay St. Louis.

The RV park at Hollywood Casino is great. They have a shuttle that comes around approximately every 15 minutes to give you a ride to the casino. We really enjoy staying there for a few days each year.

That area is nice, I grew up down there and my parents/in laws all live down there.

I-85 through Atlanta is not a problem if you avoid rush hour between 10 am and 3:30 pm on a weekday, or travel on weekends or at night.

The Mississippi casinos are the deal of the century. Everything is cheap except the gambling, and you don't HAVE to gamble. Very much like Las Vegas.

Hollywood is an EXCELLENT campground.........wide spaces, old large
trees, transportation (or walk) to casino, huge casino, great
restaurant (get a discount card at a desk in the casino), golf.
Get directions, it's not on the highway........P M me for directions
if you want. I highly recommend this campground.

Yes, the recovery in that area is amazing. Be sure snd see all the wooden scluptures carved fron the huge Live Oaks that were destroyed. Good national and state campgrounds there close.
