With all those camp sites under the trees and beachfront I know what I would be doing haha

Hopefully your incoming Ocean breeze will keep those little bitty mosquitoes at bay... We got run out one year camping at Edisto Beach - no where to hide... Those mosquitoes are so small they can fly straight through a window screen and not even slow down haha...

Friends of ours that live in the Johns Isl area have to put on the head net gear to go pick their garden haha...

We love this area for Beach camping...

All of the above are good suggestions. Do wear bug repellent since you will be there in August.:w

Take the hop on hop off tour and that will let you check out things that interest you and get you around the cities. Charleston is our favorite of the two but Savannah has great restaurants also and the riverfront is a great place to be.
Have Fiver will travel with little or no notice at all. I do need to stop at rest areas now and then:)

Walk down River St. in Savannah--- lots of cools shops/bars. Walk around town and check out the historic buildings and squares. They have a trolley/bus that will take you on a narrated tour. The Crab Shack on Tybee Island was an interesting place to eat.. the low country boil was huge.
