We were in Laughlin last week and stayed, as usual on the Bull Head City side, in a parking lot just across from the Riverside Casino, because they have a constantly running boat taxi (free) running back and forth.
But we took a drive up 68 east and took the Katherine Mine Road to Katherine Marina and campground. Very Nice campground, run by Mohave County, so no discounts to seniors, but still very nice.
We also drove up to Kingman and then came back on the old route 66 road down through Oatman, which is a real tourist trap but has a lot of burros in town...and people shopping and dining, etc.
