I am in the military and will transfer to Bath, Maine in July. Looking for a place to stay all year. I have a 36' class A, and could boondock it but the winters would be hard and expensive without elec.

If it's anything like the winter we just had, be prepare for many days below zero. This ain't gonna be a pleasant experience.
I doubt you will find a campground that will give you electricity through the winter. Most of them are close by the end of October. Seasonal sites run from May 15th to October 15th at an average cost of $3000.00.
If I were you, I would get in touch with The Texan who has family in the area and then rent a small cabin to get through the winter.

Wintering over here would be a bear!!! Bad enough in a house. Most water lines would not be deep enough to avoid freezing. Personally, I'd talk with the folks at Chewonki in Wiscasset (not that far from Bath) and see what they could offer. They'd be able to get you through mid-October and might be able to do storage until spring. Nice folks!

Check on Meadowbrook Campground in Phippsburg.
If you can do campground till October, many of the summer houses that rent for $700 per week during the summer will rent for $700 per month during the winter. My husband retired from Navy and worked Bath Iron Works - we lived in Bailey Island on the water for Nov to April.

And no...there are no year round campgrounds that I am aware of, but I suppose you might find a trailer park. Plenty of them in Maine. <)

There is no Base housing in Bath. I would have to rent and I would rather live in my RV.

If you don't find anything nearby, which I doubt you will, PM me as I have family close by with acreage and could probably set you up with a site.

Not sure if any campgrounds would be open year round in Maine. Check for KOA campgrounds. They are in many other cold areas of the country.
