Oxygen asked ". Wondering if anyone has stayed in these areas?"
Well the current estimate is over 300 Canadian winter visitors plus who knows several thousand from various States (all 50 have been in our Park this winter). So yes - lots of folks here. Try this site for info on several sites close to Tempe/Gilbert/Chandler areas: www.cal-am.com and take your pick.

Both Gilbert and Chandler are very restricted regarding new RV parks, and have been for many years, thus, the old ones that are available are filled with old, broken down, junky trailers from the 40s-60s. Even with the casinos in the area, the only one that has an RV park is up in Fort McDowell (which happens to be excellent). Mesa is your best bet, but if you don't mind a little more time on the 60, then I would consider Gold Canyon or Apache Junction. I think AJ has more RV parks per capita than any location I've seen. As 2gypsies stated, try RVParkreviews.com for a start, and then do some comparisons.

Your best bet would be to look into Mesa or Apache Junction. You'd have a lot of choice and many activities in which to partake. Try RV Park Review site.

CLICKY here for tons of parks in Mesa. Snowbirds galore during the winter months.

We have always stayed in the Apache Junction area for just staying at camp grounds... There are several nice ones in that area on the East roads and around the Superstition Mtns... Beautiful area around these parts.

Google Search can give you alot of names to search for additional info... Just type in RV PARKS in the search window. We do this all the time when traveling down the roads looking for RV Parks...

We have stayed in the Encore Park, Golden Sun and have visited friends that have a park model at Country Side. These are located in Apache Junction.
Both are OK Parks for the rates.
