Hi folks. Just got back from a few days in Mabel lake provincial park. Just a few notes.
Still chilly there so pretty quiet. We hit zero celcius or below every night. It’s a mountain lake so it’s off the beaten path a bit. The last few kilometres are forest service road so a little rough. The rest is pavement but very curvy and twisty and upsy downsy. Bottom line have patience. Maybe 70 kilometres from Vernon.
24 bucks a night but I think seniors pay 18 bucks. Canadian currency.
Beautiful sites. Should be good for maybe a 32 foot trailer. Some maybe a bit bigger. There are about 110 sites...ish. Many are on or very near the water.
Firewood available or bring your own. We always bring our own.
All the sites are level and packed gravel. No tree hazards.
Flush toilets and water available. No showers.
Pristine area. Beautiful lake and beaches but cold water.
The learning curve is pretty much over with the Tesla T@B combo. One minor mistake. We have towed a lot of trailers over the years but this is the first one with a wheel on the tongue jack. Forgot to take it off. Hangs just a little too low for that. Heard it touch the gravel at the sani dump. Won't make that mistake again.
🙂 Here’s a few pics of our site and our combo. Enjoy
