Looking for a campground as close to Beal St as possible so we can take a taxi to and from Beal St and not cost an arm and leg. Only need it for one night and then we can move to a better camp

Tom Sawyer as worth the river views. Beal was ok....check out ducks at the hotel.

Another vote for Tom Sawyer. A great place to stay. Don't know about a cab from West Memphis to Beal Street.

THAT would describe all of Memphis. Bealle St was a disgrace. I have been there before and it was great. No longer. The night we were down there back over Memorial Day week, there were 3 shootings.

The city has gone to crap. Will never go back, and never encourage anyone to go.

Two places that we have been to, but will never visit again.....Memphis and New Orleans.

Tom Sawyer Park in West Memphis, Ark. is the way to go. Nice park, free laundry facilities, and plenty of barges and tugs to watch coming and going on the river.
That's the one! They have a great website, and I'd really dig staying right next to the Mississippi River!

I couldn't remember it's name - I want to stay there one day for a couple three nights while exploring Memphis, TN.

I lived in Memphis 35 yrs. ago, and now stay with friends parking on their driveway in the RV in East Memphis while visiting, so I don't need an RV park in Memphis.:(

Report back after staying there, OK?

We have stayed at Tom Sawyer before, nice place. Like someone side you need a body guard. The Mississippi River RV Pk looks like it will fit the bill. We were on Beal St one time during the day. This time we want to enjoy the night life and not have to drive after a few drinks

A 4th vote for Tom Sawyer, although I don't know about taxi service since the campground is in Arkansas. Might be some kind of surcharge???

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,

The nearest RV park to downtown Memphis, Tennessee and Beale Street, is directly across the Mississippi River in West Memphis, Arkansas. Just south of the old Mississippi River bridge.

We are planning a trip for the middle of October and the wife is from Cordova, Tn (just east of Memphis, Germantown)
and she's too concerned to stay at any of those three...

This is the collection I came up with before she shot me down ๐Ÿ™‚

I second this. We stayed there last March and took the tour bus to Beale St.
